Planetarium Shows

Live Sky TourLIz in the planetarium
Take a tour of the current night sky with planetarium staff in this special presentation that will identify constellations, planets and other celestial objects that grace the skies above Columbia. Guests will learn how the sky changes over the course of the night and journey through space to get a closeup look at Venus, Mars, and the Orion Nebula. Show Run Time: 30 mins.

Unimaginably powerful, relentless, and invisible, black holes are some of the most fascinating and extreme objects in the universe. Explore the night sky through the museum’s historic Alvan Clark telescope. Observing is included with museum general admission.

Programs

Accessibility Night – Llama Llama AccessibilityNight
Tues., Nov. 12 from 5 – 7 p.m.
School groups and families with unique and special needs are invited to share this time and space with others facing similar challenges in a safe, understanding environment.
