Every Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m.
The museum is open late every Tuesday until 8 p.m. for Second Shift Twosdays. Explore four floors of permanent and changing exhibits, special planetarium shows, 4D Theater films, evening viewing in the Observatory and more. Click HERE to learn more.

Enjoy a dazzling display of lasers set to set to your favorite music during Friday Night Laser Lights at the SC State Museum. From classic rock to EDM you can experience three different full-dome laser shows in the planetarium per night along with food and beverages available for purchase. Hunt for leprechauns at the State Museum with this special Sensory Friendly Day for children and families with special needs. On this day visitors will be able to enjoy a less crowded environment, a designated sensory room, light and sound reduction when possible, and a special themed activity presented by SC Autism.
