The First Sunday of Every Month

Every Tuesday from 5 – 10 p.m.

Summer Camps
June, July and August

Sat., July 6 from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Join State Museum astronomers and the Midlands Astronomy Club at Hunter-Gatherer Brewery (Curtis-Wright Hangar) for a fun, informal talk with local experts. Astronomy DayAstronomy

Join the museum for a special day focused on our world and the universe beyond through a variety of fun science activities and demonstrations including Virtual Reality, robotics fun and more. Guests can also see the new movie, Fly Me to the Moon 4D, explore the newly renovated space and science gallery and experience a show in the digital dome planetarium. South Carolina teachers who are currently registered with the state and have an official school I.D. will receive free general admission. The museum will offer special previews of planetarium shows, a chance to meet museum educators and astronomers, demonstrations on SC history, natural history, robotics, outreach and more.
