THIS EXHIBIT HAS CLOSED
Carolina Makers, presented by Time Warner Cable, celebrates local makers from South Carolina who are producing handmade objects for people all over the world. The exhibition connects to the heart of the current nationwide artisanal movement. Artisanal, the alternative to mass production, describes individuals or companies who make high-quality products, usually by hand, using a traditional method or craft. This movement is speaking to the demand and needs of the buyer.
Carolina Makers focuses specifically on makers from South Carolina, who are producing unique objects by hand – for everyday use – for individuals locally and across the globe. This exhibition celebrates and brings to light these important contributions.
