Do you have a love of South Carolina?

Then the South Carolina State Museum has a terrific opportunity for you! Volunteer teachers, known as docents, are needed to conduct tours of the South Carolina State Museum for school groups and the general public. Docents must be be 18 years-old or older and available to conduct tours at least one weekday morning a month.

Volunteers are also needed in other areas of the museum. Contact our Volunteer Manager and donate your time and expertise to the South Carolina State Museum today!

South Carolina State Museum’s Youth Volunteer Program is seeking youths aged 15-17 who want to make a difference in the lives of museum guests while gaining leadership and teaching experience during the summer months.
