Experience Shadows From Space in the Planetarium Before the 2017 Solar Eclipse

To celebrate the the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse, the State Museum has developed a new full dome experience for the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina planetarium.

Starting Aug. 1, Shadows From Space, will take viewers into space and beyond to learn more about eclipses in an exciting immersive environment. When the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun, the world changes. Stars come out, the temperature drops, and the Sun appears to have ghostly streamers pouring outward in all directions. See what causes this magnificent celestial display, which millions across the US will enjoy on Aug 21, 2017.
