Emil Khalil
Emil Khalil serves as a General Maintenance Technician for the Museum.
In this role, Emil oversees essential upkeep tasks including preventative maintenance, repairs, and daily gallery turn-on routines. He also coordinates office and equipment moves, manages maintenance estimates and purchasing, and supports seasonal décor installations. His hands-on expertise includes painting, drywall touchups, and a wide range of general facility repairs.
Emil brings a diverse and accomplished professional background to the position. Most recently, he worked with the Facilities Department at Grand Canyon University in Arizona, and previously served as a plumber with Roto Rooter. His career also includes service in the United States Marine Corps, work as a Court Investigator for the Judicial Branch of the Arizona Probate Court, and multiple roles within the Michigan Department of Corrections.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Ashworth College.
