Let’s Get Digital: Digitizing the Museum’s Art Collection

May 29, 2020

Live Webinar – Fri., May 29 at Noon

This virtual program will go behind the scenes and show the process involved in the State Museum’s effort to digitize its extensive Art Collection. Last year the museum received a two-year Collections Stewardship project grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The goal is inventory the locations of each artwork, capture high-quality digital images of each piece, and create updated records in our new collections management system. So far, museum staff has photographed over 2,000 objects and uploaded over 6,000 images to our collections database!

Registration is required and capacity is limited.
