Doors open at 6 p.m. Shows at 6:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Friday Night Laser Lights at the South Carolina State Museum returns with health and safety precautions in place. Enjoy special shows featuring lasers and CGI visuals choreographed to music inside the museum’s 55ft digital dome BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium.

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote, this evening will also feature access to the exhibit, A Voice of Her Own: SC Women in Politics, photobooth fun and more.

The museum will manage capacities to facilitate social distancing as well as increasing cleaning efforts between shows. Per Governor Henry McMaster’s executive order, guests aged 3 and above are required to wear a face covering while visiting state buildings.

Friday Night Laser Lights on Fri., Aug. 21 includes:

  • Full dome and laser planetarium shows (schedule below).

  • Cash Bar with craft beer selection, wine, specialty drink and non-alcoholic beverages.

  • Delicious food for purchase from local food truck, American Proud BBQ and Catering.

  • Access to the exhibit, A Voice of Her Own: SC Women in Politics (closes at 9:30 p.m.).

  • No touch photobooth.

Shows are not recommended for children under the age of 8.

6:30 p.m. – Full Dome Musical Experience: Led Zeppelin

8 p.m. – Laser Light Show: Laser Floyd

9:30 p.m. – Full Dome Musical Experience: Led Zeppelin

11 p.m. – Laser Light Show: Laser Floyd

Please note: Laser shows contain bright, flashing lights that may cause discomfort to those with light sensitivity or other pre-existing conditions.

ONE SHOW: $10 general public / $8 museum members.
TWO SHOWS: $15 general public / $12 museum members.
