Our museum team knows how hard South Carolina educators work for their students every year! In addition to on-site field trips and distance learning programs, this spring we are inviting teachers to a special day at the museum to show our appreciation for their dedication and service to students across the state.
Teacher Appreciation Day on Sat., May 10, includes:
Free general admission for SC teachers and up to 3 guests with a valid school ID at Check-In. General admission includes access to all 4 floors of permanent exhibition galleries and the Observatory, as well as a chance to see changing exhibitions such as Shared Sacrifice: South Carolina in World War II and Apollo 16 & Beyond: South Carolina in Space.

Discounted tickets to the blockbuster exhibition, Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume. $14 adults/seniors and $10 children (ages 6-12).

Enjoy a free preview of K-12 planetarium show offerings at 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. These previews are first-come, first-served.
Our State Museum Education Team will also be on-site to offer Education Station demonstrations, as well as discuss the variety of museum resources available to teachers and how to access them for your students.
