Want to know more about how to use a telescope and explore the night sky? Join State Museum Boeing Observatory staff for a workshops that will help you and your family do just that!

Night-Sky and Telescope Viewing 101

Sat., Feb. 23, 2019 from 6 – 8 p.m. – This workshop has been canceled

If you or your family wants to learn more about the night sky, this workshop is a great place to get started. Learn how to navigate the night sky and the basics of telescope observing. We’ll show you how to download and use astronomy apps on your smart devices and observe the night-sky through our telescopes.

If you have a telescope, feel free to bring it for an opportunity to practice telescope viewing with guidance from State Museum astronomy educators. In the event of inclement weather, we’ll experience the basics of telescope observing in an indoor format.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, but parents and/or chaperones do NOT need to purchase tickets. Chaperones DO need to RSVP via the online ticket webstore below.
