Make Some Noise: The Science of Sound Haz un poco de ruido: La ciencia del sonido
Now Open
This new exhibition will engage guests of all ages in an interactive world of sound!
Make Some Noise: The Science of Sound is a new, bilingual exhibition at the State Museum. Guests are invited to explore the way sound travels, discover how humans and animals hear sound, examine the psychology behind how sound can affect our emotions and evoke nostalgia, learn about the process of making instruments and more.
The museum is excited to showcase a collaborative project with the University of South Carolina, featuring student-created animations set to original musical compositions that demonstrate the powerful effect sounds can have on our emotions. Guests can also experiment with sound through a variety of interactives, which will encourage visitors to Make Some Noise of their own.
