Donation Overview
Thank you for thinking of the South Carolina State Museum as you plan your fundraiser. We are pleased to accept ticket donation requests on behalf of non-profit organizations and accredited academic institutions in their fundraising efforts. Below are the guidelines for receiving ticket donations to the State Museum. Please ensure that all requirements are met for your request to be considered. We wish you the best of luck for a successful event!
Donation Requirements
- Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization or an accredited academic institution.
- A request for donation must be submitted at least 45 days prior to the fundraising event.
- No more than one donation is made to any group or its affiliate within a calendar year.
- Donations include a Family Four-Pack (four general admission tickets) for one-time use and a general information rack card about the museum. Each ticket is stamped with an expiration date and will not be valid after that date has passed.
- The museum is only able to fulfill requests for organizations located in South Carolina.
- The museum is unable to provide financial sponsorships or program advertising in support of fundraising events.
- All donation requests must be submitted via the online donation request form.
Donation Quota
While we would like to contribute to every organization, the volume of requests we receive makes this impossible. Once the museum has reached its annual quota for ticket donations, no more donations will be made during that calendar year.
