Artist Homecoming 2024
This special event will honor South Carolina artists and arts supporters, welcome emerging artists, and foster connection in the art community.

The South Carolina State Museum invites you to an Artist Homecoming.
On June 22, we will host a gathering of South Carolina visual artists and art supporters. This event will honor iconic living artists and foster new connections in the arts community. The program will include panel discussions, behind-the-scenes tours, time to explore the museum, and more. A happy hour reception will follow.
Program Schedule
1 – 3 p.m. | Panel discussion (Recollections and New Connections: Creativity, Care, and Sustainability in South Carolina Visual Arts), followed by small breakout sessions to continue the conversation.
3 – 5 p.m. | Choose your own activity: Behind-the-scenes tours of the art collections, explore the museum and/or enjoy screenings of films highlighting South Carolina artists.
5 – 7 p.m. | Happy Hour Reception and immersive art experience.
