D-Day and the Moon
Showing every Saturday in June
Discover how the moon played a pivotal role in planning D-Day in this live show combining astronomy and history. D-Day and the Moon takes audiences on a journey through past and present, touring the skies of the US and France to show how tracking our night sky can benefit us. After taking a look at the current night sky, the show briefly explores the moon and how it affects the tides and amount of light at night, which the masterminds behind D-Day used to their advantage in planning the Normandy landings.
Showtimes are valid through the end of the current month.
This film is no longer showing at the museum.
