The expansive Main Lobby at the South Carolina State Museum embodies the facility’s original mill character through exposed bricks and ceilings, a beautiful wooden grand staircase that leads to the Mezzanine, and an admissions desk designed to resemble a vintage textile machine. The lobby also features a unique piece of South Carolina artwork - an iron gate created by Philip Simmons.
This versatile space is a popular option for evening events like weddings, receptions, and holiday parties. Have a large guest list? Consider adding the Mezzanine to your rental which is just above the Main Lobby.
